The process of molecular sieves in solvent drying usually includes three steps: adsorption, desorption and regeneration.
- In the adsorption step, the aqueous solvent is contacted with the molecular sieve, and water molecules are selectively adsorbed in the pores of the molecular sieve.
- In the desorption step, the adsorbed water molecules are released from the molecular sieve surface by increasing the temperature or reducing the pressure.
- In the regeneration step, the molecular sieve is heated to desorb the adsorbed water molecules and restore the adsorption performance of the molecular sieve.
